Trying New Things

My new favorite thing is butterball turkey bacon. I've never been a big fan of turkey bacon. My auntie is, however, and i've had plenty of slices that left more to be desired.

But I tried this out after my local grocery store was out of canadian bacon & I wanted a lower fat/sodium breakfast meat.

If you cook it crispy, it's very similar to the real deal.

I can't believe how good this bacon is! I've started to experiment with it in other dishes....I'll have to try it on salads....

I live on it and it cooks so fast in the microwave. I use it on sandwiches for crunch, wraps, salads, you name it. I actually prefer it's texture to pork bacon. I also add season peppered to it before I microwave it. Gives it a totally different taste!
